📝 Description
This article explains how to export your transactions from Kraken to import them into Waltio.
👉 We highly recommend using the Kraken API (faster, more reliable, better data quality).
⚠️ Warnings
Select Ledger / Registre and not Trades: the trades file does not allow capital gains computation.
File must be unzipped: Waltio does not accept .zip files.
Opening and saving a CSV may alter its structure: do not open or rename it.
OTC transactions cannot be retrieved and must be added manually.
Before 2020, Kraken sometimes delayed deposits/withdrawals: you may need to manually adjust timestamps.
Rollovers (fees for keeping a position open) may be positive, negative, or zero: Waltio records them as deposits if ≥0, or as withdrawals otherwise.
📂 How to access your data
Log in to your Kraken account.
In the menu (top right), select History → Export.
Choose Ledger from the dropdown menu.
Select the account creation date (or earlier) as the start date.
Click Submit, wait, then Download (refresh page if needed).
Unzip the file, then import the CSV.
➕ How to add data to Waltio
