Export your main public keys from your Ledger wallet to your Waltio account

Updated over 9 months ago

Hello πŸ‘‹

πŸ‘‰ To add a public address to your Waltio account, please follow the article linked to the relevant blockchain on this page.

πŸ‘‰ To add the file containing all your transactions from Ledger, please follow this tutorial.

To add your master public keys via Ledger, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Log in to Ledger Live

πŸ’‘ We currently support Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash, Litecoin and Doge master keys, on Ledger.

Step 2:

  1. Go to the account you want your master key for, for example Bitcoin, and click on the spanner icon.

  2. Choose "Advanced" in the "Modify account" window that opens.

  3. Copy your XPub. This is the long alphanumeric string starting with xpub...

πŸ’‘ For Bitcoin, we support XPub but not YPub and ZPub. XPub are linked to "legacy" accounts while the others are linked to "native segwit" and "segwit" accounts.

Step 3: Paste it onto Waltio :

- Go to "Blockchain"

- Click on "Bitcoin" and then on "API key or address".

- Paste the XPub key

- Click on "Connect me

πŸ‘‰ The addition process may take a few minutes. Once the XPub has been added correctly, you will see all your addresses individually on your account.
