📝 Description
When connecting your accounts to Waltio, it is critical to provide all of your transactions since your very first crypto operation. Tax regulations require tracking every movement to accurately calculate your taxable capital gains.
⚠️ Warnings
Do not import only your recent transactions. An incomplete history distorts your capital gains calculations.
A single missing transaction can impact the entire tax calculation, even for the most recent tax years.
Transactions from your private wallets (non-custodial wallets) must also be added.
📂 Why include all your past transactions?
To calculate capital gains, Waltio needs to determine the acquisition cost (cost basis) of each token sold. This cost is established by tracing all past purchases and trades.
This rule applies across all tax jurisdictions. If any transactions are missing, the generated tax report may contain inaccuracies.
💡 Additional Information
If you have older transactions and no longer have access to the export files, contact the customer support of the respective platforms to retrieve them.
It is always better to import too much data rather than not enough.
