Not supported by Waltio

Updated over a week ago

Hello 👋

Waltio allows you to report your taxable trades and calculate your tax on digital assets only. We also support leveraged transactions.

Waltio only supports the tax regime applicable to digital assets.

Our tool therefore does not support calculations for other types of investments or products subject to a different tax regime, as the rules and tax rates are not the same as for digital assets.

Waltio does not support:

  • Equities, ETFs, bonds: Taxation of securities = As of 2018, dividends and gains realised on the sale of shares are taxable under the Prélèvement Forfaitaire Unique. Option to opt for income tax (with a 50-85% allowance for shares acquired before 2018).

    Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2074.

  • Precious metals (gold, platinum, silver) : Tax on precious metals = Flat-rate tax of 11% of the price of the item plus CRDS of 0.5%. Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2091-SD;

  • Works of art / jewellery / collectors' items: Taxation of precious objects: Exemption up to €5,000. Above that amount: flat-rate taxation of 6% of the price of the item. Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2091-SD;

  • Rental investment: Taxation of property income (except if it is made in cryptocurrency, in which case consult this article ).

    There are two tax regimes: micro foncier and régime réel.

    Renting bare property: enter the rental income you receive in the "income from property" category on your tax return N°2042.

    Furnished accommodation: report to the tax authorities using Form N°2044 or Form N°2042.

  • Forex: Taxation of securities (except if trading in cryptocurrencies, in which case consult this article ). (Le Foreign Exchange), your broker must send you an IFU (Imprimé Fiscal Unique) and you must enter the amount on your tax return. In this way, determining the amount of gains is much easier than for digital assets (where you have to keep track of each of your transactions).

    Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2074.
