This article explains how to connect your Binance account to Waltio using an API connection.
⚠️ Warnings
It is strongly recommended to add both your CSV/Excel transaction history and your API key to retrieve all your transactions. Our Binance integration requires both to function correctly.
If you do not add the complete statement file, you risk having an incomplete history and errors.
The transaction history can take up to 3 hours to generate. You will be notified via SMS.
💡 Recommendations
For your transaction history file:
Select your first transaction date as the start date in order to retrieve your full history.
Always select: Customized, All Accounts, All Crypto.
For your API key:
Do not choose the Tax Report API option as it can be incomplete (especially for Futures). Opt for creating a standard API key instead..
Always check that the Enable Reading and Unrestricted boxes are ticked.
If you trade Futures, check the Futures option when creating the API.
You can connect multiple Binance APIs in Waltio if needed.
📂 1. Export your transaction history file
Log in to your Binance account.
Click on the Profile icon in the top right corner.
Click on the Account menu.
Click on Account Statement.
Click on Export towards the top right.
Under Data Type, select Asset History > Transaction History.
Under Time Range, click Customize and select from the start date of your transaction history.
Choose either CSV or Excel format.
Click Generate.
Wait for the file to be generated, then click Download to get your file.
💡 The downloaded file may contain:
All spot trades executed before 01/09/2022
Strategy trades
Futures
Staking rewards
Launchpad deposits / participations
ETH 2.0 staking
Borrowing / Lending (Spot & Margin)
Cashback
Binance Pay
Liquidity swaps
Bank card transactions
📂 2. Create your API key
Log in to your Binance account.
Click on the Profile icon in the top right corner.
Click on the Account menu.
Go to API Management.
Click on Create API. ⚠️ Do not select Tax Report API.
Select System generated and then click Next.
Give your key a name (e.g. WaltioKey).
Complete the security verification steps.
Under API Restrictions, check Enable Reading only.
Under IP Access Restrictions, select Unrestricted.
Copy your API Key and Secret Key.
➕ How to add your data to Waltio
Go to the My Accounts page on Waltio.
Click Add Account in the top right corner.
Select Binance from the list.
First, select API, then enter your Binance API key and Secret key.
Next, select File, then upload your transaction history file.
Click Continue.
Wait for synchronization (from a few minutes to several hours).
💡 Additional Information
Certain operations will not be supported by the API or the transaction history.
