Hi there 👋
Waltio's Timezone
Waltio generates documents using the GMT+1 timezone (official time). Our interface automatically adapts to daylight saving time (GMT+2).
The Problem with Files Missing a Timezone
Some of the files we receive do not define the timezone used. For example, with FTX, we only had a time with no indication of which timezone was applied.
In theory, systems should generate their files using Greenwich Mean Time (UTC/GMT+0) as a standard approach. In practice, we work with sometimes imprecise data and do our best to interpret this information correctly.
This may result in slight differences between the times shown in your original files and those displayed in Waltio, but this has no impact on the tax calculation.
