Coinbase – File

Find and download your Coinbase transaction history

Updated this week

Hi there 👋

Here are the steps to add your Coinbase file:

Step 1: Log in to coinbase.com and click directly on this link.

Step 2: Download your transactions

To download all your transactions, ensure that the “Filter Statements” box displays the same settings as shown in the image below.

The CSV option must be checked; otherwise, the file will not be recognized.

Step 3: Generate the export

Click on the “Generate” button and wait while the file is being generated.

⚠️ Opening and saving a CSV file can alter its structure, which may prevent our software from reading it automatically. Once the file is downloaded, do not open or rename it to ensure we can read it correctly!

Thank you.

Step 4: Once your report is ready, download it and upload it to Waltio.

⚠️ Opening and saving a CSV file can modify its structure, which blocks its automatic reading by our software. Once the file is downloaded, do not open it or rename it so that we can read it correctly!

Thank you.

Here is some additional information about Coinbase files:

1️⃣ “Convert” type transactions generate two transactions by passing through euro. We aggregate them in order to make one transaction appear and pass through the euro.

2️⃣ The instructions are different for a Coinbase Pro account.

If you have a Coinbase Pro account in addition to a Coinbase account, we strongly advise you to set up an API connection. It is common for Coinbase to not record internal transfers in its .CSV files, however these transactions are visible via API.

3️⃣ Earnings related to quiz/questionnaire/tutorial answers are not taken into account by Waltio. We advise you to add them manually by creating a transaction or via a file in Waltio format.
