FTX - File

Updated yesterday

FTX

📝 Description

This article explains how to export your files from FTX and import them into Waltio, even though the platform is closed.
👉 Useful to keep track of your transactions (trades, deposits, withdrawals, conversions, etc.) and calculate your crypto taxes correctly.

⚠️ Warnings

  • If you had an API connected, Waltio is probably still reading it. However, we recommend exporting your files to keep a safe record.

  • FTX files (like the API) do not differentiate between USD fiat and USD stablecoin. USD is always considered fiat, making crypto<>USD transactions taxable.

  • Opening and saving a CSV file may alter its structure and block automatic reading. Do not open the file before importing it into Waltio.

  • Waltio does not read all transactions contained in FTX files. Since the platform is closed, you may need to complete them with a Waltio file.

💡 Recommendations

  • Replace USD with USDT if you want these transactions not to be considered taxable.

  • Download all available files (balances, deposits, withdrawals, executions, conversions, collaterals, P2P transfers, PnL derivatives).

  • Keep your exported files safe as they may no longer be available later.
