What Is Happening
Individuals posing as Waltio are contacting cryptocurrency owners with the aim of stealing their funds. This constitutes fraud.
These scammers operate fake investment and trading websites. After victims deposit funds and receive notifications of supposed gains, they encounter obstacles when attempting withdrawals. The fraudsters then claim that victims must obtain "certification" of their tax declaration through Waltio to recover their funds.
Key point: no payment is required to receive funds. Waltio exclusively provides tax declaration assistance.
