Consolidating Your Transactions

How to link a deposit and a withdrawal manually

Updated this week

๐Ÿ“ Description

Consolidating, matching, or associating transactions all refer to the same action: manually linking a withdrawal to a deposit to indicate that it is an internal transfer between your own accounts.

On Waltio, every withdrawal must correspond to a deposit when cryptocurrencies remain within your portfolio. For example, if you withdraw 2 ETH from Kraken to Binance, Waltio will display a withdrawal of 2 ETH from Kraken and a deposit of 2 ETH on Binance.

โš ๏ธ Warnings

  • Waltio does not perform automatic matching if the time between the two transactions exceeds 6 hours.

  • If multiple transactions have the same amount, automatic association cannot be performed.

  • In these cases, you must associate the transactions manually.

๐Ÿ“‚ How to Consolidate Your Transactions?

Step 1 โ€” Access your transactions Go to the My transactions page in your Waltio account.

Step 2 โ€” Select the transactions to associate Select the corresponding withdrawal and deposit from the list.

Step 3 โ€” Associate the transactions Click the "Associate" button to link the two transactions.

๐Ÿ’ก Additional Information

  • Once the transactions are associated, the corresponding "Withdrawals to label" warnings will disappear.

  • You can then assign labels to the withdrawal transactions if needed.

  • To understand why Waltio creates two transactions for one, see the article Waltio creates two transactions for one.
