Hi there 👋
Waltio allows you to declare your taxable transactions and calculate your tax on digital assets only. We also support leveraged operations.
Waltio supports only the tax regime applicable to digital assets.
Our tool therefore does not handle calculations concerning other types of investments or products subject to a different tax regime, as the rules and tax rates are not the same as for digital assets.
❌ Waltio does not support:
Stocks, ETFs, Bonds: Securities taxation = From 2018, dividends and gains from stock disposals are subject to the Flat-Rate Withholding Tax (Prélèvement Forfaitaire Unique). Option to be taxed under the Income Tax scale (with a 50 to 85% allowance for securities acquired before 2018).
Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2074.
Precious metals (gold, platinum, silver): Precious metals taxation = Flat tax of 11% of the asset's price plus 0.5% CRDS. Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2091-SD.
Art objects / jewelry / collectibles: Precious objects taxation: Exemption up to €5,000. Above that: flat taxation at 6% of the asset's price. Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2091-SD.
Rental property investment: Property income taxation (unless conducted in cryptocurrency, in which case consult this article).
Two tax regimes exist: the micro-rental regime and the standard regime.
Unfurnished rental: enter the rents you receive in the "property income" category of your income tax return N°2042.
Furnished rental: Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2044 or Form N°2042.
Forex: Securities taxation (unless conducted in cryptocurrency, in which case consult this article). For Foreign Exchange, your broker must send you a tax certificate (IFU – Imprimé Fiscal Unique) and you must report the amount in your tax return. Determining the amount of gains is therefore much easier than for digital assets (where you must track each of your transactions).
Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2074.
