Coinbase Connect allows you to automatically link your Coinbase account to Waltio.
👉 This is a simplified login connection (email + password), without needing to manually create API keys.
⚠️ Warnings
After activation, Coinbase disables the generated key for 48 hours as a security measure.
If you also import files, Waltio will duplicate the transactions.
Convert transactions generate two entries in Waltio and are treated as non-taxable by default.
Transfers between internal accounts are not supported.
Earnings from quizzes, questionnaires, or tutorials are not taken into account (add them manually or via Waltio’s file format).
Deleting or modifying your access will result in:
Synchronization stopping.
Failed connections being put in "disabled" mode.
Loss of all modifications applied (labels, prices, etc.).
💡 Recommendations
Prefer the classic API method if you hold many assets, since Connect creates one API per crypto.
Keep your access active so weekly synchronization works properly.
Double-check your Convert transactions and manually add any unsupported earnings.
📂 How to connect to Coinbase Connect
Log in to your Waltio account.
Select Coinbase then Coinbase Connect.
Log in with your Coinbase credentials.
Enter the verification code received by SMS.
Authorize Waltio access.
Wait 48h before the connection becomes active (Coinbase security).
📤 Managing synchronized data
When adding, you can choose between:
Retrieving all data since your Coinbase account was created.
Retrieving only data since the most recent transaction already recorded in Waltio.
Confirm your choice to start the import.

Once the connection is validated and the 48h period has passed, your Coinbase transactions will automatically appear in Waltio under My accounts. 🎉
