Add your accounts to Waltio

Onboarding step 1: How do you add all your transactions to Waltio?

Updated over a week ago

Hi there ๐Ÿ‘‹

New to Waltio? The first step is to enter all your transactions on Waltio. To do this, go to the โ€œMy accountsโ€ page. Here you'll find all the exchange platforms, wallets and blockchains we support.

๐Ÿ’ก You can also add just one account to test the tool (or test file). However, you will need to add all your accounts once the tool is up and running. The tax system requires all your transactions since the first one. To find out more, follow this article.

Here is an example with an Ethereum address:

You'll find the list of platforms we support in this article. If your platform or portfolio is not supported, you can use a Waltio format file to simply fill them in.

The connection can be made :

๐Ÿ‘‰ By API key. These are keys that you create on the platform and which give us read authorizations on your transactions.

๐Ÿ‘‰ By public address. For your decentralized wallets, you can add your address directly to your Waltio account so that we can read your transactions. On Waltio, they will be categorized as APIs.

๐Ÿ‘‰ By transaction history file. These are tabular files in .xlsx or .csv format that you upload to your account on the exchange.

There may be one or more files to download. This differs for each exchange.

And if the API connection to your account is available, we strongly recommend its use. It's a real time-saver. You won't have to add future transactions to your account, as they will be retrieved automatically.

๐Ÿ’ก Our tool tends to a constant evolution and we want to provide you with as many platforms as possible. That's why you can suggest and vote for new features on our public roadmap: feedback.waltio.co.

๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations, you've successfully added your accounts to Waltio.
