One ticker (name) per cryptocurrency in our database

Updated over 10 months ago

Hello πŸ‘‹

The "ticker" is the symbol made up of letters used to name a cryptocurrency.

Example: For Ethereum, the ticker is ETH

The basic rule we apply is as follows: we record in our database the prices of the token with the "highest ranking" on our price aggregator partners.

πŸ’‘ Example: considering that "AC Milan Fan Token" is better ranked than "Actinium" on Coingecko, we keep the display "AC Milan Fan Token" for the ticker ACM in our database.

We are aware that this rule is not optimal, but we will not be able to change this by 2023 πŸ˜•

What should you do if you have exchanged "Actinium" in our example?

πŸ’‘ The solution is to change the name of the token manually to use ACM2 or Actinium, for example, and change the price manually for each of the transactions concerned.
